"We appointed Chris after the start of our building project when it became apparent that dealing with our builder might lead to melt down. Such a relief to have an intermediary with experience to keep things calm and on an even keel. In retrospect we've found that our builder installed some items which were quite a lot more expensive than they need have been and a bit of guidance might have been useful; but on the other hand, maybe we should have questioned it ourselves. Chris stuck with us until the snagging was completed, which was pretty well nine months after completion of the project. He also continued to chase the rather elusive supplier of our new french window to rectify a problem until it was satisfactorily resolved. Never had need to use a project manager before and hope never again to have any building work done, but if we did we'd ask Chris to do it again."

''Having undertaken a previous extension project in the past without using professional management we had some idea of the pitfalls, extra costs and stress that can come with these projects. Our project involved extensive changes to our bungalow including a new roof and new upstairs, so we decided it would be a good idea to use professional management. We employed Chris to run the tender process and manage the project. This involved finding and advising us on the builder, setting up and running the contract and creating and tracking the schedule of work. Each step went well. We started the process at a time when it was almost impossible to get a builder so things took a while but Chris came through and found us a fantastic builder. The project/contract management was excellent, everything was tracked and noted. Critically for us Chris' approach allowed for flexibility, so we were able to increase the scope of work numerous times and the plan was adjusted as necessary. Chris was great at dealing with the issues that are inevitable with all builds. He worked well with the builder to come up with solutions that were best for us and reached out to the architect, structural engineer and building control as needed. From a customer perspective the whole experience was a very positive, stress free and creative. We were fully involved and well advised in any decision making; the costs were as agreed/clear at all stages and the overall duration was kept on track.
